I just found this video this morning. It was super easy, inexpensive and effective way to clean your brushes. My cleaning makeup brush routine was cleaning the brushes alternately with my daily facial cleanser and brush cleaner.

As Michelle Phan said, brush cleaner is expensive. She got the point there. Luckily, there is local brand named Stage Cosmetic (the standard is equivalent to M.A.C) offer brush cleaner for MYR 25.00. But, the unlucky part is that my facial cleanser is costly which cost around MYR 200.00++ for one very big bottle. Extra virgin olive oil is pretty expensive here. Small bottle cost around MYR 15 and big bottle (like the one in Michelle’s video) is MYR 45. Antibacterial dishwasher cost maybe MYR 10 below? How much will it cost me monthly (or every two months) if I substitute my brush cleaner to Extra virgin olive oil and antibacterial dishwasher? Extra virgin olive oil + antibacterial dishwasher vs. Stage cosmetic brush cleaner and facial cleanser. I think I will try the one Michelle Phan suggest to see how it cost me in a year.
